The frequency of the local Liverpool DAB mux is changing from 11B to 10C overnight on 19/20 April.
This frequency change won’t affect people who are listening on FM, MW, online or via digital television. This is a DAB frequency change only.
The stations affected are BBC Radio Merseyside, Radio City, Radio City 2, Radio City 3, Radio City Talk, Smooth North West, Capital Liverpool, Heart North West, Heat, Kisstory and Absolute 90s
At the same time a new transmitter will be switched on at Moel-y-Parc, expanding local DAB digital radio coverage in Liverpool for over 160,000 listeners towards the West of Liverpool. This will be followed by a second transmitter at Winter Hill in Late April/May that will add a further 200,000 listeners towards the East of Liverpool. These two new transmitters will expand local DAB coverage from 82% to 98% of households in the area.
During the time between the frequency change and the Winter Hill transmitter being switched on it is possible that a small number of households will experience a poorer signal.
Listeners on DAB digital radio in Liverpool will need to retune their DAB digital radio on the morning of Wednesday 20 April to continue to listen to local services on DAB digital radio, or to pick them up for the first time.
